takes me back to that winter i stuffed my Walkman in my ski jacket and beat it on down the mountain, the ski slopes providing perfect background to my playlist of mötley crüe and guns 'n' roses. . .ah, the joys of mixed tapes.

my musical horizons have broadened since then and found me living in the land of nirvana, pearl jam and fleet foxes; my mixed tapes and walkman have been replaced with my handy-dandy digital player but that opening guitar riff of 'sweet child o' mine' still gets me every time.
